- Famous Fishing Overseas
The river Lambourn, a pure chalk tributary of the Kennet, is a jewel – a perfect, crystal clear stream with a good head of wild and stocked brown trout, and some huge grayling to over 3 pounds. Not for the novice, but one of the best places to improve your casting and presentation skills, as you will see the fish’s every reaction to your fly. Unlike some other beats, Famous Fishing’s stretch of the river Lambourn covers a mile and a half of the best part of this magical river, in the quietest part of the valley.
