The Ebble is a perfect miniature chalk stream flowing through the Chalke Valley, which is best known for the fabulous pheasant and partridge shooting on the steep chalk downs throughout its length. The Ebble has a huge head of wild brown trout and grayling, generally of a size proportionate to that of the river, though fish of over 2lbs are caught each season. If you like to fish dry fly with a short brook rod in truly wild and challenging surroundings then this is the river for you.
