- Famous Fishing Overseas
The Nadder is joined by the River Wylye at Wilton, before flowing into the Avon just outside Salisbury. It is an excellent trout river, with chalk stream characteristics despite its greensand origins, and is generally clear enough to spot the fish at which you are casting. It was to the Nadder that the elderly G.E M. Skues retired after he left the Abbotts Barton Fishery on the Itchen in 1939. This is a river that seems to get better every year, with plentiful wild fish as well as stocked browns. Famous Fishing lets beats for both individuals and groups on the River Nadder.
